Yo, guess what?
Carbs matter.
Sugar matters.
Sodium matters.
Meal timing matters.
Food quality matters.
Saturated fats matter.
Unsaturated fats matter.
Fiber matters and water matters too.
All of these things matter.
But.
None of these things matter very much at all if you aren’t keeping track of what matters most:
Your macros (or calories, I guess).
And this is where people tend to slip up.
People worry about all the small things that matter a little rather than focusing on the big things that matter most.
Kinda like deciding to buy the world’s sickest car… but forgetting to make sure it came with an engine.
Or planning out an amazing vacation in another country… but forgetting to purchase the plane ticket that’ll get you there.
Calories are *not* the only thing that matters.
But they are the thing that matters most. And they’re also the thing that matters first.
Once you get them in check, and only then, should you begin to focus on anything else.
Happy focusing,
— Nick.
